Empowering Learners Through Design

My Work Examples

Self-Paced eLearnings

IT Retail Simulation - eLearning

This self-paced eLearning module offers a hands-on simulation where learners practice using the IT Retail grocery store POS system. Through tasks such as checking out a customer, voiding an item, and logging in and out, learners gain practical experience in a realistic, interactive environment. The course is designed with a non-linear structure, allowing learners to explore the processes they are most interested in first, while ensuring all sections are completed. This simulation highlights my ability to create engaging software simulations with branching paths, enabling learners to master essential skills at their own pace.

Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

Facilitator Lesson Plan - Provider Search Activity

For this instructor-led example, access the sample Facilitator Guide first. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how the trainer will lead the class through the Provider Search eLearning. The sample Facilitator Guide illustrates my approach to lesson planning, ensuring clarity, engagement, and an effective learning experience. It outlines key teaching strategies, timing, and interaction points to help the facilitator smoothly guide participants through the material and ensure successful outcomes.

Additional Business Documentation

PowerPoint Template

This PowerPoint template showcases my approach to developing color schemes that enhance visual appeal while ensuring accessibility and readability. By strategically selecting colors that complement each other, I create designs that not only capture attention but also support effective communication. Each element of the template is crafted with user experience in mind, ensuring clarity and focus on the content.

Adult Learning Fundamentals - eLearning

This self-paced eLearning module provides an overview of the ADDIE model and highlights the importance of hands-on practice in adult learning. Participants will explore the key stages of ADDIE—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—and understand how applying practical, real-world activities enhances the learning experience. This brief module emphasizes how active engagement supports deeper audience retention and skills application.

Provider Search Activity eLearning

This eLearning module is designed for both participants and the facilitator. The facilitator guides the class through the process of searching for a provider on Medicare.gov. Following this, participants are presented with various scenarios involving members who need assistance finding a provider and have additional needs. In breakout rooms, participants will use the tool to identify suitable providers and determine the best solutions for each member's situation. Afterward, the facilitator reconvenes the group and facilitates a discussion where participants share their findings and solutions.

Facilitator Guide

This sample Facilitator Guide demonstrates my approach to creating effective instructor-led training materials. I believe in empowering facilitators by providing them with the tools and guidance they need to succeed. My template presents class instructions in a straightforward, easy-to-follow format, ensuring clarity and confidence. It includes key content from the participant guide, along with clear instructions on when and how to extend the material for deeper engagement.

High Level Design Document

A good learning experience starts with a good plan. This High-Level Design document outlines the foundational structure of the course, detailing key learning objectives, content flow, and assessment strategies. This illustrates how I like to develop a clear roadmap before developing. This ensures a cohesive and engaging experience that aligns with desired outcomes. Each section is thoughtfully organized to facilitate a clear project plan in developing effective learning.
